Become a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in Volunteering for Aunties and Uncles Illawarra.
We are always in need of volunteer families to join our program, to help “build a better life for our children”.

Volunteers are the foundation of the entire Aunties & Uncles program. Without volunteers, we would not be able to exist. They provide an ongoing extended family network, friendship and mentoring system for their “nieces, nephews” and their families.

Please note that the following will be required for you to become an Auntie and/or Uncle:

• Police History checks
• Have to nominate those in the household over 18 years
• Provide a caring and safe environment
• Must enjoy children
• 4 References (1 of these from a child that you have had contact with)
• Be prepared to make a commitment for a minimum period of one year.
