Our Services

Aunties and Uncles is a mutually rewarding extended family and friendship network of volunteers who support a family in crisis by becoming an “adoptive” auntie /uncle to a child from that family.

We want to make a difference in a child’s life, by giving them the opportunity to have the experience of an extended family.
(The families in our program are in general very isolated, without family support).

Area covered:
Helensburgh to Kiama

Volunteers:
The most important requirement is the love of children. (See Volunteer Corner for more information).

Parents/Clients:
Can be self referred or be referred by others in the community.

Co-0rdintor:
We have just one paid staff; all others are volunteers (Management Committee Members, aunties and uncles). Berta works part-time (20 hs. p/w).

Venue:
We have an office at Corrimal Community Centre.
